| HONEYWELL'S
LG1237 SMART PRESSURE TRANSDUCER SOLVES THE
MOST DEMANDING PRESSURE MEASUREMENT REQUIREMENTS |
| |
| MINNEAPOLIS,
Minnesota, May 10, 2002
- The Honeywell [NYSE: HON] LG1237 Smart Pressure
Transducer, produced since the early 1990s
primarily for aerospace and aero-derivative
turbine engine controls, will now be sold
domestically and internationally to both aerospace
users and others working on non-aerospace
applications that require high-performance
precision pressure measurement. Applications
include: jet engines, air data/flight control,
flight test, meteorology, instrumentation
and analytical equipment, flow and pressure
calibrators, and laboratory and medical devices. |
| |
| The
Honeywell LG1237 is a smart absolute pressure
transducer designed to provide extremely precise
and stable pressure measurements over a 25-year
or 100,000-hour operating life. This compact
device combines a piezoresistive pressure
sensor with a microcomputer and digital signal
processing to give users an accurate, easy-to-use,
maintenance-free smart transducer able to
withstand high levels of acceleration, vibration
and shock. |
| |
| Lightweight
and rugged, the LG1237 performs accurately
and consistently within pressure ranges of
0.5 to 1000psia. The advantage is in the sensor
and high-speed digital processing and compensation
algorithms that provide accuracy and stability
over temperature extremes (better than ±0.03
percent FS over -55 to 125 degrees Centigrade)
and the long life of the device. The LG1237
complies with DO-178B, Level A specifications. |
| |
| The
LG1237 Smart Pressure Transducer is now part
of Honeywell's large family of piezoresistive
technology-based precision sensing products
and will be sold through common sales channels.
